In a joint project between Hamburger Energiewerke and the State Office for Geoinformation and Surveying, Geoplex was commissioned to create a Solar Energy Register for the 755.09 km² federal state of Hamburg. All 1.9 million residents can now use the new application.

With the Solar Energy Register, Hamburger Energiewerke and the State Office for Geoinformation and Surveying want to give the citizens of the City of Hamburg the opportunity to check the solar potential of their own rooftops free of charge and impartially. Whether you are a homeowner or a tenant, with a solar cadastre from Geoplex, every citizen can find out in just a few minutes whether their own rooftop is suitable for the installation of a solar system.

Technically, the State Office for Geoinformation and Surveying is relying on the publication of the Solar Energy Register via the city’s master portal. The application is available at www.geoportal-hamburg.de/Solaratlas. Hamburger Energiewerke publishes the Hamburg Solar Energy Register via PlexMap Solar. The application is now available at www.solarrechner-hamburg.de.
