The Wesermarsch Economic Development Agency has been a Geoplex customer for several years with PlexMap Immo. We are therefore delighted that the district of Wesermarsch has now also opted for Geoplex! The district of Wesermarsch is located in northwestern Lower Saxony and covers the area west of the Weser River between Bremen and the Weser estuary. The district has a population of around 89,000 and covers an area of 824.76 km².

In order to tackle climate change as a global problem, action must be taken locally. The district of Wesermarsch is also facing this challenge and is working with Geoplex to set up a solar and green roof cadastre and a geothermal potential cadastre.

A solar cadastre from Geoplex helps to identify the solar potential available locally and effectively raise awareness among citizens about the use of solar energy. The solar cadastre is therefore an important tool for supporting and systematically advancing the energy transition at the local level.

With a green roof cadastre from Geoplex, homeowners can find out whether a green roof is possible on their own house or garage roof. To do this, the automatically recognized roof sides of a building are used to calculate whether the individual roof sides are suitable for a green roof.

We look forward to working with the district of Wesermarsch!
