With a green roof cadastre from Geoplex, homeowners can find out whether a green roof is possible on their house or garage roof. For this purpose, the suitability of each roof section for greening is calculated based on automatically detected roof surfaces of a building. Learn more about the green roof cadastre here.

The Ansbach district also wants to offer this service to its citizens and is therefore currently having a green roof cadastre created by Geoplex. The 187,633 residents of the 1,972 km² district in the administrative region of Middle Franconia can already look forward to the new application, which will be available in the coming weeks.

In addition to the actual green roof cadastre, Geoplex will also carry out automatic detection of existing green roofs as part of the project, using its own algorithms in the PlexMap Switchboard based on CIR imagery.

The Ansbach district has already been a Geoplex customer in 2023 with a district-wide solar cadastre, and we are pleased that the district administration has now decided to further strengthen its collaboration with Geoplex through a green roof cadastre.
