With 128,246 inhabitants, Würzburg is the third largest city in Franconia after Nuremberg and Fürth, and the seventh largest city in Bavaria. In addition, since 2018, the city has been one of the three newly created regional centers of the Free State of Bavaria. Würzburg is known for its Baroque and Rococo-style buildings, especially the 18th-century Würzburg Residence.

The city of Würzburg wants to establish a central data hub via PlexMap Magazine and PlexMap Switchboard and is also relying on PlexMap for its own CityGML data management. In addition, PlexMap 3D is used for viewing. With PlexMap Planner, a tool for integrating and visualizing the city’s own urban development projects, drawings, and designs is also to be developed.
